Falls CrossFit is a licensed CrossFit Affiliate authorized to teach the CrossFit Method. Classes are one hour long and we design our daily workout using CrossFit principles “constantly varied, high intensity, functional movement.” The “WODs” (Workout of the Day) typically include a warm-up (10 minutes), strength component (20 minutes), the high-intensity WOD (5-15 minutes), and a period of individual or group stretching (5-10 minutes).
Each class is different. Some days you will squat, other days you will press. Some days you will do both. We create workouts using a host of activities in various combinations. We use barbells, medicine balls, kettlebells, and a bunch of other tools. We run for various distances, usually in combination with other activities. Some days the WOD includes two or three exercises, and sometimes a lot more. We design our classes to provide a fun workout that provides each participant a challenge at their own levels of fitness.
We want you to improve your fitness in every way and constantly changing the exercises will challenge your level of strength, speed, agility, endurance, power, coordination, and flexibility.
Our program works, not just for the uber athlete, but also for people of all ages, shapes, sizes, and fitness levels. Many people get intimidated because they think CrossFit is going to be so difficult and they will not be able to participate. We are very welcoming, very accepting, and very nonjudgmental.

As we age it’s important to use all of our joints regularly and CrossFit is a great way to do it. If you don’t use them, they get stiff and achy. We also naturally lose muscle mass which causes our metabolism to slow down. Weight-bearing exercise revs up your metabolism and keeps it burning for many hours post workout.
The functional movements make you strong and less likely to throw your back out doing activities of daily living (picking up the laundry basket, shovelling snow, etc).
